I just finished reading this special report from Rich Schefren and Jay Abraham. Wow - There’s a lot of great stuff in it but what really made me think was how often we bypass good old common sense.
Harv Eker tells a funny story about how to be the best in your industry. “Do the opposite of what everyone else is doing”. It makes perfect sense when you consider that 4% of the people earn 96% of the dollars…
As always it comes down to connecting with others. Rich and Jay have done a tremendous job at distilling HOW to connect with others. I give it 2 thumbs up!
How to double your sales
Have you heard of Jay Abraham? He is widely known as ‘the most successful marketing consultant in the world’. Jay is an amazing speaker and shares the stage with people like Anthony Robbins and Zig Ziglar.
According to Jay, there are 3 ways to increase your sales:
- Increase your customers
- Increase the average $/sale
- Increase the amount of sales per year from each customer
So, let’s say that you increase one of those factors by 10%, obviously you will have 10% more gross sales volume. However, if you increase each of those by 10% - now you have 33% more - this is where it gets fun.
example:Â 100 customers/ 50$ per sale / 2 sales per year = 10,000$ gross
+ 10%Â Â :Â 110 customers/Â 55$ per sale / 2.2 sales per year = 13,310$ gross
That’s a big increase just from a few small changes… Â Â How can you accomplish this for your business?
More $/sale - Do you currently have an upsell? (when your customers buy your main product you can offer them a special bonus or ‘platinum edition’ at a higher price and a percentage of your customers will buy it)
More Customers - How can you increase your leads or your conversion rate? (conversion rate = how many customers you get out of 100 leads/prospects) Answers, get more money out of your advertising budget - implement testing and tracking, get more leads or higher-quality leads…
Amount of sales per year -Â Do you keep in touch with your customers? Regular emails lead to regular sales… Give quality information away for free which gives you a reason to regularly email your customers - then offer special packages, complementary products, etc.
Marketing can be a fun and exciting part of business - it makes good use of both sides of our brains, the creative parts and analysis/logical parts. Just by making a few small changes you can see a substantial increase in your business.
As they say in Australia, ‘think outside of the box’!
